Affirmative Action's Effects on Racism
Affirmative Action is a major issue that can cause racism on
many college campuses throughout the nation. Of course I m most familiar with the
Hopwood vs. Texas court case in which an applicant to the U.T. Law school named
Cheryl Hopwood and several other applicants felt that they were being
discriminated against. I encourage you to explore the site at the bottom of this
page to learn more about it. Other schools in California are also having trouble
with this issue. Affirmative Action is causing racial problems in on college
campuses because all people feel that they are being discriminated against. I
have written several papers regarding affirmative action and I believe it is a
very necassary process because affirmative action will not end until racism ends.
